SHOW OFF dyed/colored Easter eggs

Not an entry, since I made these over the course of several years, but I wanted to share.

A neighbor was an immigrant from Ukraine and taught us how to dye these amazing Ukrainian Easter Eggs! She moved away but I have been thinking of her lately (for obvious reasons).

First you blow out the egg. Then you draw a pattern with wax and dye the egg a light color. Then more wax and a little darker color, and so on. When finished, you gently melt off the wax. The first ones I made were simple (and a bit shaky), but you can go crazy and get very complicated. My neighbor taught us traditional Ukrainian patterns, but you could go modern too!
