You take great pics LoveChickens123!

Above is Missy the pug x mutt with my 8 week olds.

Here's my dark cornish cockerel.

Here's Jake the beagle x boston terrier with Missy.

And a snapping turtle that decided my little compost pile in front of my main coop, would be a good place to lay her eggs! Ack! We moved her safely down the road to the creek where she really laid her eggs! Win! These are a protected species here.

thanks for that!
are snapping turtles dangerous for humans

They sure can be if you're not careful! We don't swim in our ponds, so no problem. They are best to be avoided. When the mouth snaps shut they don't let go. You could easily lose a finger or toe. Previous owners said there was a snapper in there. That was 4 years ago. Guess it took that long for a mate to show up.
We used a big scoop shovel to scoop her up (heavy turtle) & move her. There are ways to handle them, but weren't feeling comfortable with that.

My son and my lil fur baby ferret, Roxy

Our rescue dog that was dumped out here to fend for herself, was skin and bone when she wandered up to us, covered in fleas and ticks. That was about 10 months ago and she is in perfect health now!

My almost one week old barred rock girls!
