She will charge at me once in a while when she's not broody.. but i can end that. But she growls so loud at my poor D'uccles.. one even had an egg outside of the coop while elsa was broody, because she sounded like a lion!!

I feel bad for them. I wish there was a way to discourage it. I have had parrots, and you just make sure they don't have fluffy litter like pine or shredded paper, anything that looks like nesting material. But i guess chickens have been bred to be broody egg and baby machines.

How are your birds so perfectly round? They look like a big ball with a beak, especially your Barred cochin rooster.

They are from a breeder who shows them..... the roos brother is a show winner here in NZ and the 2 barred (cuckoo) pullets are rejects cos they dont have "perfectly" straight combs....

This is Sweetie Bird, she looks so mean in this picture but she's absolutely not ever. And one of the many many chicks shes hatched. Right now i gave her a Peahen egg and she's in love with the huge egg!

Lol yeah maybe the only way to get them to you might be to pickle them first...

at the moment Im hatching as many eggs as I can from these guys.
