I have 2 hens, a roo and a pullet. I think. Gator Bait my roo, Hennie Pennie mille fleur hen, Bridget blue mottled, and Silly Millie I believe she is a mottled. She is Hennie Pennie's but Bridget did the work. Bridget is quite the egg thef.

I've heard it said that cochin hens make the best broodies, is this true? I've never had any.
I know they say that Buff Orpingtons go broody easily, but I haven't had any of my hens go broody this year. I kinda feel like they have let me down

I only have one Lf cochin hen (i think shes a Lf, lol) :) shes never went broody but ive never really had a nest for her to set. But my 3 mixed cochin (half old english, half cochin) all 3 sat. And they arent even a year old yet :D one outta the three even sat twice :O :D lol!
