I posted my chicken coop a few weeks ago...my husband built it using lumber he sawed using his sawmill...this week he finished this little cage that we have our ducklings in at the moment, but can use later for anything else including rabbits...it's anchored to back side of coop

Outside the run. The whole structure cost $0. We took a coop that was about half mile from the house, deconstructed it, and rebuilt it right behind my house. It is about 15x20 feet.

Cute little buckets I found for grit and oyster shell.

We haven't built the official Coop yet, but it is crazy hot here even at night, so the girls enjoy these open-air roosts.

This little red coop is what started me on the path to chicken math. It quickly became apparent that it was way too small for the number of chickens I wanted. Right now this is where my silkies sleep since they can't get up to the roost.

This is the duck area of the run. The chickens enjoy popping in and out of the dog house as well. Also note my rudimentary attempt at nesting boxes just in case anyone feels like laying eggs anytime this year.

Lol! Imagine my concern the first time I came home and saw absolutely zero chickens! They like to hide out in these little wood behind the coop during the day.

I was thinking the same or they were out with the cattle

View attachment 1395901 View attachment 1395902 Turkey shack was a last minute effort when we bought the poults. Expecting they will roost in the trees later, it is temporary but does the job.

Can you post some pics of the inside of the chicken coop? I’ve been thinking about building one of this design but I haven’t seen many photos online of what the inside looks like? Are there roosting bars in the Hut? Do you recommend this type of triangle frame? I like the idea because it looks to save on space- but looking for input

It was a very easy build. 3 roosting bars and they use them all. Flip down air vents on both sides for ventilation and stayed dry through 7 straight days of downpours.
