They are amazing dogs. I love my standard though too. He's not nearly as entertaining as my cattle dogs used to be though.

Oh my, the poodles are adorable. Everyone looks at me like I'm crazy when I say I might like to have a standard poodle someday. I think they are gorgeous!

Poodles are great dogs. I just hate when people turn them into neurotic little foofoo dogs. One of the members on here used their Standard as a hunting dog. I saw a study that showed that Standards were one of THE smartest dogs. My husband didn't even know that the Standard existed until we were watching a dog show. He's got the impression that a real poodle is like the neighbors teacups. One shakes and piddles if you look at it. The other, looks like the Tazmainian Devil in a "roid" rage!!
