My best guess is he is just hatchery quality or a mix with oegb in him. I did my own research as well. Not that I'm an expert researcher XD

Beautiful birds you have. Love the combo. Peepers was all black last summer until he started developing the streak you see on his tail through that fall. Other then that single streak there isn't another speck of color. Any you see on his back is just the sun shining off him and catching my camera.

What hatcheries does your TSC gets chicks from?

Streaking in hatchery birds isn't uncommon.

I don't know that part.

I've never seen that streaking in any of the other birds we got from them since then.

I can tell you he was part of a group of five sickly bantams we got for free from them. My mom knows an employee there and she let us take them because they were the last of the stock. There was him, a single silky, and three oegb. He barely survived at the brink of death, the silky survived much easier, but the other three did not.
