My hens still haven't gotten broody they are still laying like crazy if I had an incubator I would have a boat load of chicks by now.

I've had a similar issue. So far only two of my hens has set and one hatched on her own. I have 18 eggs in the incubator from the other hen that just wont stop laying. She sat on 20 in december none hatched, laid the other 18 then took a week off so I gathered the eggs to incubate. then she went back to laying and has another 12 in her nest. She's acting a little broody now so hopefully she'll set soon. I also have a grey that has about 8 in her nest and a round head that has 6 in hers. I think the weather changing up and down has goofed them up a little. It seems to be steadily warmer now though.
I like having the incubator, but it's definitely easier to let the hens do the raising. The first ten I hatched in the bator seem to need a lot of attention.

I was given some standard game birds they look to be brown reds from pics I've seen but I don't know . the guy said pearl something...to me they are chickens but I'd like to know more about them if anyone knows. The hens are black and brown they all have dark legs...it's so muddy around here hard to tell if the legs are green , slate, black? one hen is all black and the combs on most are small. I believe they originally came from alabama.
Thanks for any help
