We are having coyote and neighbor dog issues. I placed a pen right up next to house so could monitor egg deposition of a hen I use for teaching. She is with a bullstag that went broody on current batch of chicks, Pen right next to area dogs use to monitor barn where most of chickens are located and orchard.

For some reason a coyote to east keeps coming up to interact with dogs and it is doing so to avoid something from the east. Dogs keep the coyote at a distance, but also looking where coyote is looking. Two dogs ran in that direction then trotted back on trail with tails high. Other dog stayed back, but held her tail up high as watching whole deal. When she commits somebody can at least get hurt. She is the one that gets involved at killing time.

Neighbor kids bringing their dogs by so I am penning mine to prevent violence. I am also having to shore up cover to protect pens long enough for my dogs to come out if neighbor dogs try to cause trouble. It is keeping chicks tighter during day to keep hawks off when dogs retreat to shady area during heat of day. Chicks like to wander too far from adults and cover when dogs not present.

View through bedroom window about dawn. Chickens worked up too as can be seen in first image.

Not yet but it appears I will get rain, wind, and tidal surge/flooding. How much depends on the storms impact at landing. As of now it's not supposed to get too much stronger..
There s kind of a perfect storm. The river is still high 16' to be exact. Really high from melting snow and other storms draining into the Mississippi river. It's supposed to crest at 19.5to20' the levees are only 20' high in spots so there's possibility of overtopping. Ain't nothing you can do for that

The overtopping will not directly affect me.
