Never trim your birds after feeding them as this will just about allways speed up the bleeding process . If i'm gonna feed on trim day i'll do it real early AM and trim late in the evening at roost time ........ helps to slow down bleeding .
Or you could trim in the morning and feed late evening . Either one will work .
 
The project is super-super dark skinned oriental gamefowl.
This rooster is 3/4 asil, and I like his look. He has fibromelanosis, but you can't really tell because he is also not blue legged.
