Well, he looks a lot like my roo, except mine has white/pink legs, but I am in Texas, so maybe?

Thanks guys- I've never shown chickens and never did the other thing either- I just like em!! But this Rooster I got yesterday is great looking. I had to bring him home in a tow sack . He was pretty quiet and didn't throw too big of a fit. But as I was toting him out to the chicken house to make a place for him. He heard the other roosters and you never heard so much crowing in your life- While he was still in the sack. Then I sat him down in the Metal Garbage can and put the lid on until I could clean out a cage for him. He was still crowing!! LOL . He doesn't seem to be too mean toward people but he did bite me while I was trying to get him out of the sack. I don't mean he pecked me- He bit me. But I guess he was a little scared and out of sorts. Two or three years ago somebody gave me a game hen and I got her out to clip her wing to put her in the pen and she bit me on my nipple!! LOL I had to do a lot of pulling to get her off!! My kids still laugh at me about that!! This cage he's in is only temporary- I'm gonna try and pick up some wire today and make him a good sized pen and then work on getting him a harem!! My little gray rooster might be mad- I might steal a couple of his wives and put with the new one!! His tail got a little frazzled from being transported and then in his new cage but his feathers were perfect when I got him. I'm really tickled with him. Now I gotta get him a name.

I've never dubbed Katty, but from everything I read you just use a very sharp pair of scissors. But do a little more research into that. I guess since you are in Alaska- Even dubbing other breeds might be a way to prevent frostbite.

The gray and the blue and the brown I got in a cage full of hens for one price- They lay pretty good so even if not full games I got them really cheap and they produce to pay for their feed . Thought maybe the blue one maybe had some andulusian (sp?) in her. The one you said might be roundhead or kelso I got from a guy who had a lot of games . Hopefully will get to put this rooster with them and hatch off some babies this year and see how they turn out. Thanks for giving me all the info!!
