Ok I have Sumatras, I think I mentioned that before. Bottoms of feet are incorrect and now seeing these bird, I think I missed something. Are these pure or have they been crossed? Sorry I have a pair, but iliterate on the breed. Just know I like them. I'm trying to learn more about my Game birds so I come in here when I see the thread up.
I finally today found out what I have as far as Games. My roo is a Kelso, one hen is a hatch, and I have 3 hens that the guy that looked at them was frustrated, because the name wouldn't come to him. Johnny Jumpers, Jump Ups??? Another hen was running through the yard and when he asked about her, I actually thought she was my Olive Egger. There's some seriously ugly moulting going on here. Anyway, later I was in a pen and there was my Olive Egger who was not looking as bad as the other hen, so yes I'm blind, but the feathering is almost the same. I actually had thought this bird had taken off or been stolen, but she's out there playing imposter as a layer. So this is my darkest hen, Juliet. I'm so happy she wasn't really missing. Now I need to see if this guy can indentify her. I hope he can, because she's one of the original birds from the first flock at this house and I didn't recognize her as my favorite Game hen.
BTW, one of the reasons I was asking if the Sumatras were pure, is because this same man has a roo that is crossed with one of his Games and a Sumatra, that he has offered to give me. I just want him because he is so cool looking. Second reason is I need to know if I need to be breeding towards these birds. They are gorgeous BTW. That roo just really stands out. You have beautiful birds.
