Show Off Your Games!

Yeah CFellows those are some good looking wheaten colored birds there.

and your s too aguilera I really like the BBR colored games too

I hope my little boy gets done with his molt soon. I'd like to get some recent pics of him on here for all to see to.

I got some stags coming but i don't even know what they look like yet they are still running around out in the woods. They are free, I figure that's a good thing right off the bat. LOL

Lost my Self-Blue stag the Wednesday night and almost lost my Golden Duckwing Thursday night!Something had reached through the wire and grabbed his head but moved him to a different pen and gotta live trap set up.

I put retaining wall blocks for looks as well as protection to the wood from sitting on the wet dirt when it rains

this is the side view. I angled the front becasue of my trees and it also closes the door automatically because of the angle.

I have their water outside with a whole big enough for their heads to fit and drink. It also allows me to change their water asap without having to go inside their pen to get the water bucket

it has 2' plywood all around except the front and also where they sleep. It frovides protection from the wind and it prevents each rooster from killing eachother through the fence.
Hope these pics gives you guys some creative ideas :)

Aguilera, I have a question...do they ever fly up and hit at each other through the wire between the runs? I am trying to come up with a solution for my stags as with the weather recently have had to pen two up. Sixteen to go. Right now the only thing keeping them is the pens are four and eight feet off the ground and nothing to hold onto...and they slide off the top and three sides which is covered with a tarp. I don't plan to keep that many after I've selected who goes on to spring, but I will keep some back up in the event the dominent cocks get injured.

Love em

Thanks, I am real happy with them, and I love how long the hens tails are.

Yes they will. The 'out of site out of mind' thing is the best way to solve this. You had better get a fix for this as there has been many a good game cock have to be done away with due to serious leg injuries from hitting fences. I know this from experiences; those dudes pack a punch, bone crushing blows. Just sayin'

On my 3rd picture where you can see the turkey, I have 2 adult roosters and they can't see each other. As long as they can't see each other in any way they won't fight at all. You can see how high the plywood is. It's 2 feet high plus I have cinderblocks underneath and it raises the overall height. On the roosting pole, I put a 2'x3' plywood so they won't see each other either.
If you want to do have them close together you can build something like the picture I drew below. You'll be able to make 8 cages that are 3'L x 3'w x 3'h coop for 8 roosters. Just put plywood inbetween so they cant see each other and leave a 6inch opening with chicken wire to alow air to flow by. You can also make it into a 16 cage coop. just extend he 3 foot width with a 6 foot 2x4. Then just divide it and make 16 3'x3'x3' coops.
