I dont know if he is a bantam... looks kind of big. Maybe half bantam half Large American Game.

He is a little big lol .. That's what the guy who gave him to me told me he was maybe mixed

I like the looks of this guy.. still young but looks like he will be solid...

Unquie combination of features..  I like the white earlobes and dark eyes. Single Comb looks nice and healthy. Too bad his tail feathers are tattered.

Thanks and his tail is like that because the owner had him with a chicken and she keeped poking his rear

Very interesting... Dont see a top on Asil very often...

What is wrong with his eye? Or was he blinking during the photo?

Yeah mine too.. I always take video, then I do screen shots from the video.. its way easier especially when they are moving around a lot.

Yeah he looks good and strong. Did you breed him just for fun or were you looking to start an Asil toppy line? Did all his sibling have a top as well?

no he has two sisters and only one has top knot like him. His father was given to me by my aunt and was given to her by a man she worked with and he told her the breed waas half toppy and half asil. So I didn't have a hen for him and went to an asil breeder and wanted a hen that wwould be close to a match so I bought an atkinson asil hen old enought to breed and they gave me thrree good chicks and I bread him back to mom and now I have 7/8 chicks. So I'm trying to breed the toppy out.

Cool.. Too bad you couldnt have had more chicks from the first hatching, I bet you would have got a rooster without a top knot.. could of bred that one back to mother which would guarentee no top knot.
