Show Off Your Games!

they are about as sweet as can be, I sure hope some of the OEG's eggs that I got hatch out. That way I can enjoy them. All chicks are cute but to me the games are just so much sweeter, I guess because they are so tiny.
OEG sound fun, are they from Hatchery?.. .And yes I agree the games are so cute as babies and stay small for a lot longer too. slower to develop into adulthood, as compared to layer/broiler type especially.

I got my little games in a collection of eggs on e-bay they were mixed in. At that moment I didn't want to spend $60 + per dozen eggs, so got some EE's and other things along with those. We have someone about 30 minutes away that breeds them like the one I have, But I am waiting on Brenda to talk to him and get me a dozen, it's one of her neighbors. They normally eat the eggs.

here is my little man. And he is walking to the man that said he was sick. You can see it is his foot. It's not sick. Told you me and the vet were right.

I agree, limp is not consistent with Mareks. Wound is unusual for pen fighting. Normally pen fighting wounds are much more symmetrical involving swelling and cut on both feet plus lots of head swelling. Are you sure bird did not get his leg caught in something other than fence during fight?

The one that went after him weighed in at 13 pounds it was my biggest Delaware, Little man was lucky that his foot only got sprained. However it did happen close to a month ago now, so the scratches are gone. However his hind toes still have black marks on the underneath of them, where it has healed up. His other leg had a huge cut down it, but you can't see that any more it healed good when we sprayed it and wrapped it to keep it clean for a few days. he was lucky that he backed off, rather then continued to fight. The old roost is still covered in dried blood where he tried to roost that day to get way up high where nothing would harm him again. That night he roosted but after that he started sleeping on the ground so we fixed him a box to sleep in.

He and Brownie are both still in a recuperating area until when both can handle their own. However he wont be put back out in the main yard by himself, instead we have a good sized area where they can play and walk around it's about 1/4 of an acre. He took of across the yard 2 days ago, and he hopped real fast. But when we called to him he came right back.

long story short 2 hens hatched out chicks during one of our storms yard flooded 3 chicks drowned had to rescue the rest

I am facing similar issues where temperatures are expected to drop down to 25 F. All but two clutches will be removed from nest and brought into garage. Clutches brought in are nearly complete but hens have not commenced incubation. I need to start this early season incubation stuff in an actual barn.

The 2 hens went broody on one egg each and getting around 10 grey eggs a day a figured ill just throw some more under them so they could be mommas. Well after being nice for a week a front came through and it poured all day so when I got home i made my rounds in the flood and saw 3 chicks floating in one of the pens so I throw a brooder together grabbed the wife and off to saving we went. I wasn't really interested in having grey chicks the plan was just to let the hens raise them and what ever happened happened, well this is what happened. If anybody's close to louisiana I'll give u 13 grey chicks
