Show Off Your Games!

And if he really runs, as in cowering, even once, then he's not game. There is a style, I don't know if it's seen in AGs, called wheelers, I believe. They act as if running and when the opponent is tired they turn around and strike. A lot of people don't like that, I could see the trouble it could easily bring, especially in AG shows it would probably be detrimental.

Cool Guys, thanks for your input... Just trying to rock the boat a little bit, and learn in the process. I have nothing against game, just trying to figure out the advantages...

I was a thai kickboxer for many years, and I was scared to death every fight, enough to throw up after each fight. I was good but did so because I was skilled enought not to get hit often. I was also tall and had the reach to keep guys from getting too close. I beat a lot of guys who were a lot tougher than me, guys that I would consider game. I would probably be considered not game by anyone who knows me, because I have never been in a fight outside of a ring.
This is one of the reasons I bring up the consideration of non-game winning fights. There are a lot of boxers and UFC guys who win because of other traits, other than being tough...

Humans are obviously different though...

I can see how runners would be embarrassing... I have never ran in a fight.. I would laugh if anybody did..

Anyhow, my question to you knowlegable peeps is: there is a agf [mixed bloodlines] roo appox 4-5 months old that lives at the stables I keep my horse at. He is very unusual in that he has a girlish looking comb& no wattles but does have a few hackle & saddle feathers coming in. He has very long, thin white legs and NO red streak down them. Does have spur nubs and I have heard him crow but very seldom. He is shunned by the hens and roo in the pen where he lives. He is a BBR color. I have never seen a fowl that has traits from both male and female, what are your thoughts on this? I am just curious. Thank you

I can get a picture of him, just gotta remember to take the camera out there!

Here are some photos of my young game roosters... Compare combs and waddles if you want... Can you spot the five young roosters in this first photo...

I am excited about this young white rooster... Never bred a white rooster before... I was expected him to be a hen till white saddles feathers started showing up. Looks like he is going to be a tall one... Long wings and legs.

I cant ignore that I would have a different outlook if I had been fighting with knives and till the death.

LOL, yea, that's exactly where 'game' comes in. But absolutely, 'game' alone makes for a useless fighter. But when all things are equal, and things start to drag along, and things start hurting, it's the 'game' bird that has the needed advantage.
A Thai Kickboxer, cool. Might want to look into Thai, and other Oriental Games, a lot of 'them's' boxing fowl!!

It's not a runner that gets in hits hard and gets out before he is hit that is smart ...There was a line of birds around here (back then)that was tough as steel and dead game but dumb as dirt, they would stay there and swap hits until it was over they would win some loose some...I didn't like them because even if they win they were cut to pieces it would take a long time to heal...
