A quick update on little man, he is finally starting to walk a little now and is starting to use his bad leg. Seems like another 2 weeks and he will be back to his little self, just like the vet said he would. Seems great to see him back to walking around some. He and Brownie, are really getting along great. In fact she was feeding him grass the other day like he was a baby. Was about as sweet as could be. She even sleeps on the floor with him at night time rather then getting up on the roost. However I caught him today getting on the little board across the front of the dog house and roosting a bit, and right next to him was his tiny little GLW girl. they are getting the dogs old bed put in there tonight so she will have a place to lay her eggs, and he can find a soft comfy place to sleep.

I sure am happy as can be. Can't wait for our little game bird eggs to hatch out now so he will have a whole harem. I am making another coop for more little games just in case. I told hubby we will have to section off any boys separate. I don't want any of them fighting. So his weekends will be busy doing that.

Please don't take offense but game birds are quail pheasants etc gamefowl are the chickens. Just incase u get into a conversation with another enthusiast.

Some photos from yesterday afternoon
Coming down the mountain.

Angry Grey Hen

Angry Black Hen - Notice the water dish spilled from the two hens.

The look of that black one is priceless.

Makes you wonder what was going through her head. I would hate to be the chicken that dumped the water on her feet.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with ruble hatch? Wanting to know if their bull stags are vial, hates everything, super aggressive, hot headed, f the world attitude having animals. I was told by the breeder that they can be " temperamental " sometimes, TEMPERMENTAL! Yeah that's an understatement. They were fine till about a month ago handles descent. I mean no they didn't love it but tolerated it, but now ****. Ima have to get me some snake chaps.

Dang, bummer man. Sounds like you got some manfighters. I havent had any experience with that breed specifically, unfortunately.
Because I raise my hatches free range, most are terrified of me. I have one grey (half hatch) that I raised by hand... he trys to kick me if I try picking him up, but otherwise doesnt bother me. Hurts like a ***** when he makes contact.

Try hypnotizing him/them.. I heard that helps calm them down so you can train them to be handled. I am no expert in that subject... most of my games would rather die instead being handled.
