For anybody that may know. The cock that I was told was a sweater that I now think is a spanish had chicks with a known hatch hen unknown line and woola she hatched out 4 80% black and 20% white chicks and one blonde chick. So my question is does anyone know if spanish red chicks come black and white? After closer inspection the brookcock had yellow legs with a little black and black spurs. Thanks

other chicks are just greys

I aquired pure white spanish game hens a few years ago.. They produced both pure white chicks and black/gold (brown red) chicks when crossed with a BBR American Cock.

The spanish hens had blue legs tho, not yellow. offspring leg color varied from green, black and blue, but nothing yellow.

The dark chicks are like dark chocolate almost black on top then lighter chocolate in middles and white underneath

All my black chicks have white down feathers on their underside, and sometimes a little white streak on their face. Mine lose that when the get feathers.

As far as training is concerned they are being trained to be held, touched, and to come when we snap our fingers or call to them. Where they are not pure I can't show them, However we want them to be handled daily so they wont attack people. They have been handled daily since they were hatched. And now at 2 weeks, they still come when called, and talk to us, use the kids as perches, and even mess with my daughters hair.
