For my interests they are not. Bantam making alleles came from a nongame bantam breed and the OEGB are not game with respect to behavior.

X2 I don't consider them gamefowl. Although I have bb reds they aren't comparible to my real games. But I will say they do have heart.

I wasn't paying close enough attention to what was asked. Didn't even notice "bantam" I just noticed "game birds". My wife calls them game birds and it drives me nuts. Now I just ask her where?

Looks like some sort of bantam to me. Too lean and small to be a leghorn in my opinion, but she does have some leghorn traits.

Offspring didnt turn out like I expected... two white chickens produced BBR type chicks. along with a white chick and a pure black chick (not seen in photo).

This family of hatches always goes into eclipse molt... black hackle feathers come in before the new hackle feathers.

Does anyone else have this happen to their fowl?

All of mine do. Expression appears a function of temperature. Mild summer temperatures like now produce weakly developed eclipse molt. Hotter makes for obvious eclipse molt.

Thanks JS I'm proud of them they've exceeded my expectations so far. they seem to be a bit smarter at problem solving then the parents and more flighty too
