While I have your attention a little off topic but how would one aquire a pair or trio of manderine ducks? The wife wants some and I'd like to build them a nice habitat. And if I were to get eggs would they be ok under a chicken or does it have to be a duck

One place is Mallard Lane Farms but there is probably a waiting list for them. I just hatched 5 Wood Ducks from under a game hen, the only thing we did was left them with her for about a week until they could maintain body heat.

Pretty games. And I love that pen with the tarp. I may have hubby make me a few of those to put on the hill property. I can't place a real coop there because its all down hill where something like the pen you have with the tarp would work great.
