Very nice!

Can't go wrong with a good Kelso. Or a good hatch as a base. And yeah the blue grey cross does produce some fine looking fowl. And just FYI we haven't always been like this it only ramped up in the last few days. It'll calm down I suppose just gotta wait and see lol.

What do you mean
What is ramped up ?
And yes I almost got a kelso broodcock from my cousin but when we got him out of the pin he hit a metal cage and broke his spur- and my cousin said he wanted to keep him and take care of the spur.
I also might get I he if his blues (he said it depends on how well my cadged are built
And then I'd cross blue to grey and then breed my grey/ Roundheads and then maybe get his hatch and kelso blood
I think he has some jap too but idk
Ik he has one jap hen that is amazing she broke her leg fighting a hawk and now she walks around with a limp leg but still hatches out babies every year and even attacked me while I was visiting him.

Hello everyone, here are my gamefowl. No idea what breed they are, hopefully somone here can help me out. I received 4 gamefowl (3 hens, one rooster) from a relative. Just wondering, first if they are in fact gamefowl and second what kind they are. I am particularly interested in knowing this information for the one pictured again on its own at the very bottom (4th picture). This relative of mine is Mexican and received these chickens from Mexican friends again. Does anyone know if these chickens originate from U.S. American varieties or Mexican varieties? Are they from one specific breed or a mix of two or more?

I am particularly interested in this little one pictured twice (at the bottom)

Welcome Sergio,

The pictures are weird and stretched so its hard to tell... Do you have better pics?

The look like games. Mexican games are American games basically. There is no way to tell what breed/bloodline they are without talking to the original breeder. They are all different enough to be unrelated or possibly mixed breeds. Different color legs is a sign they are unrelated or from different breed parents.

Are you from California?

ramped up as in disagreeing. What are your intentions? Just crossing a bunch of chickens without a goal to me is meaningless. And I wouldn't mix any jap. But that's just me. Unless you're trying for smaller lighter faster fowl like a spanish. I would think a spanish would be better for a jap. But that's just my opinion. I do know a miner blue and grey cross make some beautiful birds.

Agreed...

@Beginner2015 If you want American game looking fowl then you should breed the Jap to a smaller cock like Spanish. If you going for more oriental style offspring then you can pair her with the American cock.

I do a lot of experimenting mixing game breeds and its fun and exciting to see the results. I still dont have any "intentions" for my fowl, so I just do it for fun. But for the most part I cannot make any money on my fowl because any serious buyer will be looking for pure breeds... Although I like to think my fowl could beat any pure breed in show or in the ring :)

Nah y'all know how it is u get a few great ideas and before u know it you got a billion chicks running around thinking well crap lol. I have to refrain putting all my great ideas into action I don't have the land or a grain mill.
