Sorry it took a few days to respond. He is a mix of American game/Asil/and jungle fowl from a line a friend was working on. He calls the line Cherry Creek Gamefowl. And yes it is a beard, no other birds on his yard have one. The guess is the genes came from a rooster he had 5 or 6 years ago from Kentucky I believe. He would have gotten culled to better fit the breeding program, but his attitude from a chick until now forced all to respect him.

Are color genes in the blues, the same as other breeds. Splash, blues ans blacks??

Yes, for every 3 chicks you get 1 splash 1 blue 1 black
