i know im probably getting annoying with this but please dont get upset, so if they start out with a lighter more erratic spl?ochy pattern like these are they are males, or is it still a 50% of being either male or female? and your three turned out to be cockerels right?

Its ok.. There are no stupid questions.

Its still pretty early to tell 100% for sure, but thats what it looks like to me. 2 more weeks and you should know for sure.

Those three I pictured turned out to be cockerels. Good ones too :)

i hope you are right, and since i cant get any pics from anyone of a barredrock crossed to it or a RIR cross, i could go to my friend and ask him for some of his hens he hatched out right before these, there was quite a few he knew i was loving out there

what do you call this feather coloring or type

I have solid white and solid black chicks... impossible to tell the gender, until much older.

I believe you are right jshibuin. Just went in and looked at their tails really close and both fancy pattern ones have a feather or two longer. I also noticed the suspected female has brown wing feathers at the far outside part while the male's have white. Maybe I'm just over thinking but any explanation of this happening other than chance
