Show Off Your Games!

I hope everyone is okay. Well the incubator has shown up. I am not going to mess with my one hen and the egg my hubby ordered under her... hubby has ordered more eggs... Oriental Games, Swedish Black, and Marans... so those will be incubated in the machine. We are super busy building and planting. The chicken coop area is going to be improved on as we have been observing a mated pair of hawks who appear to now be our neighbors. We are going to make the coop area more aviary like, so swooping low flying hawks (which is beautiful), cannot get at our birds.. all our Chickens are on lock down in coops or inside the house (we have some chicks of various breeds and ages). In addition we are making the area so small chickens can’t get out (unless we let them.) I hope everyone is doing well. Peace.

I know you guys like to see chickens

Three game pullets roaming yard with chicks. Most chicks not theirs. Pullets are full-sisters and broods increase in age at 1-week intervals. Chick numbers on all but last way low. Three more hens coming up behind will all hatch within about 4 days of each other. This does not count the incubator action.

I pop them with a little chick feed about sun up, then they are going after bugs rest of day. Dogs making it so I can range the hens down towards woods for first time. Chicks have no trouble getting enough to eat.
