Thanks Dt, I just got that rooster a few weeks ago. He is a little over a year old.

Seedcorn, from what I have seen, they will have more red in there hackles and less in there saddles. I haven't had one with just red saddles and black hackles, but that is just based on the ones I have had and what I have seen at my friends farm. Sorry if I didn't answer question good I wasn't exactly sure what you were asking. This rooster has had the most red feathers out of any of the ones I have had -

If she is small, bantam size, the I would guess that she is a self blue OEGB. If she is a full size bird them perhaps she is a blue sumatra. It's hard to say, can you take a photo of her and post it?

No.
Minor Blues are a breed and not a Variety/ color.
I believe the breed was named after Llyod B. Miner.

OK,
When you say blue red hen, do you mean a Blue Breasted Red?
If so, then when you cross a Pyle (white patterned gold duckwing) rooster to a Blue Breasted (blue patterned gold duckwing) you should get Pyle.
Depending on how pure they are you could also get gold duckwing, Blue breasted Reds.

It should come out the same, but you may want to try posting the question as a new topic and see what the others like Tim say..
