Show Off Your Games!

I bought eggs from Dogsaver on ebay and would buy from him again. Don't claim them to be and don't care if they are bitter game or not. Nice looking birds to me.

can gamebirds live on nothing but whole corn kernels and dirt? im curious of some neighbors birds are just going to drop after to long, or if the can in fact live off this for many years, and ive been mistaken telling them they are wrong and the birds need alot more protein to a least feed crushed dog food, or chick feed with crushed oyster shell (theyll buy expensive birds, but not offer other feed, as say traditional)? i go by my hens laying every day, and roosters being really muscular, but they sa better game birds need to stay light and tough..

Birds, whether game or not can live off of whole corn.. But it's not good for them. It's not that expensive to at least throw a little laying pellets in with that for a mixture..I've never seen corn help a gamecock stay "light and tough", but I have seen it make them heavy and mushy!

I've seen people feed layers nothing but whole corn, and man those birds were walking around looking like broilers they were so fat.

Couple birds from this year, bout three months old. Good stance/attitudes on them, but never can get a decent picture of them when they're on the ground walking which is why I had to hold most of them.

And just for kicks, here's a older photo of the little Shamo stag coming up.. He's got more feathers than that now, but still putting on feathers. He's younger than the rest.
