If it was me I'd never breed Modern Game or other "bankiva" types into them, plus with the Modern genetics I'd be worried about faults like too straight legs occuring and lack of a game character. Would'nt the best outcross be a Nankin Shamo or even a Tuzo ? As from the looks/size American Shamo bantams and Nankin Shamo's are very much alike.

Well I found out about the cross after I bought them.
Wasn't my choice, I'm going to be calling back the breeder.
I believe he mendtiond only certain Colors were crossed.
So there's a chance their pure.

I found some shamos that are one of the purest stains in the US. I'm in the process of possibly getting some.
Planned on buying a few and after I'm done breeding them. I think I'll play around with crossing them into my bantams for gamieness.
Nothing is set in stone just yet as to what we will be doing with the bantam shamo.
I've considerd letting them go, so I can focus on my Asils a little more.

Josh, the guy you got your bantam shamos from that has the dun coloring, he got them from a guy, and the guy THAT guy got them from put modern in them, years and years back.

Thanks,

I know the ones with dun in them do...as for the rest, I would suggest talkin to the guy you got them from

Do American Gamefowl hens make the typical Hen "Egg song" when they lay? I have been told oriental and americans don't, but I just want to make sure. I have a mix of oriental and american hens coming and I just want to make sure the americans are quiet like the orientals. Thanks.
