Show Off Your Games!

Here's a question for those who know, why wouldn't American games be considered dual purpose, instead of ornamental? Which are they really classified as? Because although they are really pretty to look at, they hardly ever stand still long enough to be admired, at least mine don't. Mine lay quite well, small to medium size eggs, and they taste great too...just ask the cat stalking my flock of late. And the typically are very hardy, as opposed to most ornamental that I know of.....just wondering really.
I agree We have them for eggs & love their look :D

I agree too. My Sweaters dont lay very well at this time of the year but my Spanish do. I would consider them a Multi-purpose breed.

Games in general thre best broodies ever. They are considered ornamental because not many people think of them for their meat. Most people just have them to have beautiful chickens in their yard.

Jockey that top hen looks just like my Moe, who I lost this summer..she hatched out two broods, 25 chicks in all. Very tame hen to me. I miss her.
Added, except for when she had those chicks to about two weeks...note to self..don't go in the broody pen with shorts on., bring steri strips.
