Show Off Your Horses!

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy :

Love everyone's horses.

I'll have to dig up pictures of our horses..I don't even know how many we have anymore...

I have two horses Rex and Scarlett. Rex is a 24 yr old Appendix Quarter horse who used to be a show jumper before I got him. Now he is a pasture potatoe doing the occasional trail ride. Scarlett is a 7 yr old Saddlebred who my SIL rescued when she was 3.

This is Scarlett 3 months after my SIL had gotten her. She had two other horses and they were beating her up so I ended up taking her. She was about 600lbs and 14.2 hands. I thought to myself I was nuts for taking her, but I'm so glad I did.

Here she is just last summer. She is 15.3 and just a little over 950lbs

She is a dream to ride. A very naturally gaited Saddlebred

She is by a son of Unbridled's Song called Show Tune out of MMSBUFFANDSTUFF by Quarry(a son of Forty Niner).

We picked the name because the mare's name is the name of a car wash....that's the "suds" and of course "songs" from the sire side.

Thanks Michickenwrangler. I wouldn't trade her for any other horse. That stride is nothing she has about 6 different gears and when she is moving she can really cover some ground. She was at the trainers for 5 months and Kay said she was the easiest horse to train. I'm hoping to get some hunterpaces in this year and maybe try foxhunting.

Your Saddlebred is awesome, she looks like the classic SB you see in breed books! ive always liked that breed, very few of them where I live, so dont get to see too often. thanks for posting!

Thank you. She was bred well so I have been told and everyone that meets her can't believe how she moves. People think she was trained that way, but nope she does it all on her own. She floats around the pasture showing off.
When she was at the trainers a lady offered me 5k for her. She was looking for a Saddlebred for showing. I declined. Scarlett had a rough start in life and I just want her to enjoy being a horse with a low key job. We may also dabble in driving since she was trained in a harness and I can ground drive her all over the place. Her biggest down fall is she does have ADD at times, but nothing that a quick "hey girlie" to get her attention back to me won't so solve.
