Awwhh I will definitely keep posted.. I've been following this thread for a while now lol. they are just the most precious things ever.. though i know they got me wrapped around their little wings already, and they know it.. last night they freaked when the light went out and they couldn't see me, so i made a nest from an old hoodie on the bed next to us. They did a great job at not making a mess (I was scared id wake up with poop in my hair) but thankfully they kept it clean, and stayed only on the hoodie nest. I just love them so much! They are so cute now, but I am excited for them to grow u and wear cute diapers :plol

I made temporary diapers for my previous ducks out of oven mitts, and painted them like high end designers because we were moving from where we were to my in laws, and my mother in law loves fashion and I thought it would be cute. (of course when we got there they were outside, and even though they were fully feathered at that point, and the small yard was privacy fenced, the somehow got out while I was at work.. so that was depressing.. now we have our own place and I got my new babies)

Of course my sewing skills are terrible, it worked out alright though as a temporary aid. lol

Here's my little one. It's my first house duck. I've always have them outside. This one was the only one of three eggs we incubated and she's gotten imprinted on us. My family thinks I'm crazy.
Haha. You are honestly not crazy. I don't own ducks but being on here and seeing people with house ducks I think it's completely normal. Your little one is very very cute all pancaked out on you.

"Pancaked" needs to be an actual verb. <3

I've made a few myself and I wouldn't mind sending you one as an emergency. It's made for call ducks so it should be small enough to fit your adolescent. PM me if you think you may be able to make use of it. Also I'll share the pattern I made; it took a fair few tries to find a decent one! But seriously, Kukupecpec's really are the best around and they only cost $25. Is there a reason you're unable to get one from her?

Anyway, here's the pattern. I eyeballed the size, but I got it to work by using paper towel cutouts and placing them against Wobbles' body for sizing before cutting any fabric. Then you take them two by two, and sew along the bottom edge where the largest curve is. Then you flatten them out and lay them on top of each other, sew together the longer flaps, and turn the entire thing inside out. Then it's just a matter of closing the two ends by inserting the elastic and placing a second elastic rim around the cup end to reinforce it and keep its round shape while still hiding the exposed edge. I did it by hand and it took about a day of solid work, but on a machine it'd only take a few minutes!

Thats a great little pattern! Im going to fiddle around with diapers while they are young, but plan on getting the ones for when they are adults. I just can't wait to dress them up
