Show off your house ducks!

Then you have another 1-2 months before she's sexually mature, but that's not going to stop Wobbles from trying to mate with her since he's long past that point.

I figured as much, but it's still a right mess to deal with, ha! I was surprised to see him do this after having calmed down post-mating season so drastically. Typical drake, chasing after younger women, not taking no for an answer xD

It's not past mating season. Mine are still mating like crazy. Poor Wobbles has never had a girlfriend!

True, but we thought we'd bought ourselves some time since he went ape the moment he turned six months back in February! He left me in bruises for 3-4 months and went back to his sweet, non-rapey self at the end of Spring. Still, I'm glad that he has finally realized which species he's supposed to bonk. :p

Ugh, Wobbles...guess where he is right now? In his carrier, happily chirping away, LOL! No idea why he loves to go in there so much. Bean is on the other side of the room drilling into the carpet. Of all the bad habits to pick up from Wobs, why that one?

My back yard looks like we have a gopher colony living with us. Nope water touches the ground occasionally, ducks use the water to take all the dirt out of the ground and spread it all over each other. Dig dig dig. If the ducks aren't getting through the carpet backing, padding and some of the floor boards, consider yourself lucky

Umm, please don't take this the wrong way because it has nothing to do with your housekeeping habits. They do that because they're looking for bits of stuff that might be good to eat. Ducks feel around at things with their bills, which is why they can find bits of edibles in a murky mud puddle where you couldn't possibly see anything in it or on the bottom.

My ducks never find any bits of things in my carpets.

Oh I'm well aware of WHY they do it. Doesn't make it any less painful to watch it happen! My poor poor carpets ;;
