I think you'd be a good mom, but one good thing about pets in general is that they don't fling themselves on the floor in the cereal aisle screaming that they're going to die if they don't get the new brand of cereal they saw on TV. Human children are challenging.

I agree on @Amykins being good mom material, but I don't know about that pet statement...

I can't walk by the patio bench that stores the meal worms without Entie screaming "Haaaank Haaaaank Haaaaaank HaaAAAaaaaAAAaaAnk!" at the top of her lungs and threatening to commit suicide by running under my descending foot if I don't stop right away and get her some. This causes me to go through all kinds of contortions to step on the ground rather than a duck and she keeps it up half way across the yard.

It is even worse if I am actually carrying treats.

Oh, bless that poor little lonely girl...my heart, she is breaking. :/ HAve you tried the buy/sell/trade forum? I'm not sure you'd have a lot of luck finding mallards this time of year, but you could probably find a rouen drake no problem!

Ohohohoho yes they do. Wobbles has been known to throw a fit when he can't be with mama, and Bean turns into an ornery little cuss when she's hungry! So first thing in the morning when I go to diaper her, I get met with a tornado of feathers, flappy webs and bites. Once she's eaten she's a gem, but before that? Better don the hazmat suit and keep a shot of horse tranqs at the ready!

I read western MD... SC is funnier... We will be going there at the end of this month. We could shove Kaine in a sock and put him in the luggage.

But as I said, we aren't ready to give up on the turd bird yet <sigh>. He has until Spring to pull his head out. I hope he does
