Have you seen pics? I bet Jo Jo will be so happy having a friend but you know they will have to meet slowly so she won't be over whelmed by him. Do you have a dog crate you can put her in for a couple days so they can meet ? 

Yes, I am ready for this! I work tomorrow daylight, get her sat, and I'm off sat and Sunday at least so I can be there 24/7 for at least the first 48 yrs. I'm so excited! I hope it doesn't fall thru or something!

Thank you.  I have her in a lukewarm bath right now and I'm not sure what else to do.  I guess I will have to wait and see.  I am hoping that the motion of swimming and moving around coupled with the warmer water and her drinking some of it will get things moving!​

You are welcome. Try and get ahold of Amykins. I think I read last week her girl Bean had an issue with her crop and Amykins was able to resolve it with a home remedy. I am not sure 100% if it was an impacted crop but there was mention of coconut oil. Best to hear it from her.

I am having a problem with my 3 week old duckling.  last night I noticed that she was wanting to lay down most of the time and not walk.  today she has a huge lump in her throat like massive.  I can feel her spine in her neck I still straight seems like she has a ton of food impacted in there.  What should I do?  She has only had duckling food and I always give her water I am not sure how this happened. HELP!!

Oh my gosh, I hope u get advice, I have no clue!

So it looks like I need to wait until the morning to check and see how her crop is and if it still full. If it is still full I need to see if it is hard, soft or squishy and then go from there. I searched for an article on BYC about crop issues and found a wealth of info

Oh! Speaking of girlfriend, you guys won't believe what happened earlier today. Wobbles mounted Bean for the first time. And she actually LET HIM. Granted, he fell right off about two seconds later, then tried to mount her sideways, but still!

Eh...Amiga was the one who recommended coconut oil, she's the real hero here. I just fasted her and let her crop empty on its own, and luckily, it did.

So yes Mr. Quackula, just make sure she doesn't have any food or water overnight and check in the morning. Is there a smell coming off of her breath? Have you felt her crop at all? How is she behaving? What made you suspect sour crop in the first place? Sorry for the 9th degree, just trying to get as much info as I can. :3 And welcome to BYC!
