Hey guys, I've been super busy lately, and now have a huge problem... Cupcake, my male, is getting pretty aggressive at me now. He books it after me around the house, and nips at my feet and squawking soooo loud. He vibrates his whole body when he's ****** at me, which lately is all the time. The ONLY thing that calms him down is picking him up and making him cuddle. Then he calms down, and goes about us like the good ol days. The second he's back down, he's back to squawking at me and then getting cookie riled up. I've tried everything as far as disciplinary action, but everything only leads to him getting worse and really trying to attack me. I "mount" him with one hand and carefully put his beak flat on the floor like he does to cookie while mating but still he gets worse. Do you guys have any ideas to help curb this? Freezer cargo is out of the question. lol

Sounds like typical drake behavior, sadly. Wobbles did this too when he had his first season. You may have to separate the two for a while, although I admit I kind of haven't had to do that yet myself in a home environment. Get a very large dog crate, maybe? Then when he bites you, he goes into instant time out.

As for me, I'm having it pretty rough lately, so I need as much snuggle time with my feather-puppies more than ever.

Thank you Amy, I really just hope it's a hase and he'll learn to at least control himself a bit more. I thought I raised a better gentleman that that :x lol

I hope all is well with you, I am sorry to hear you're having a rough go at it at the moment.. I hate those, but I also know there is no better way to help get through it than duck cuddles.. and you my friend, have some of the cutesttt little babies I've ever seen!

I am taking the day off work and driving up there to kiss Wobbles on the head. Then I will turn around and come back home. Oh, and Bean too. Do you have any idea how cute he is?
