Thanks all, I emailed them & they are going to keep my information on file for him in case they need it for him. They said he's getting along great & he's so very sweet & handle able.

@Scovy Momma you are absolutely amazing!! A truly self-less, very caring person!!![]()
Bless you Scovy Momma. You're a true and genuine person with a heart of gold. I commend you for your selfless act of giving Dandy to a home where he can thrive. How is your little serama?Momma loves her big boy, Dandelion RiverSo this morning my big boy went to his new home at the animal rental ranch. They have many more duckies that he can befriend & mount & be a good little boy. I miss him but he needed more than I could give him & I had to look out for everyone else in the house. My mom says just to be happy for him & don't let it hurt me so much. Didn't help, but at least she tried.
Hey, maybe he'll be a movie star...

I agree. She's made me laugh very hard before.
He was getting more aggressive with nipping & stalking the others in the house. He would put his head down & walk up on the cat & grab her tail or go for the face. He nipped the dogs' face repeatedly the last couple of weeks & it's not right that they fear this one when they were all comfortable with Daisy for years. I always watch them when they are in close proximity but it was getting to the point where I had to separate them all from Dandy for their safety. Although I know all muscovy aren't the same personality, he was good with them, kind of like Daisy, until about a month ago, then he would go for everyone's face. My roommate was nipped then bit anytime he tried to keep Dandy away from any other pet. I was the only safe one that never saw the bad end of Dandy until he clawed me up & bit at my eye when I took him away from trying to mount the cat. He was loving afterward but he'd just get wound up so much, it was like it wasn't my duck anymore for a bit until he'd calm down.Oh, Scovy Momma, no...I'm so sorry. What was it that made you realize that he needed a new home? I know it must be gut wrenching, you should have seen how much I cried when I had to give up lil' Pancake. At least we know he fit into the outdoor life easily, and is getting along well with his new ducky family. Are you at least able to visit him? And are you going to try to find a female muscovy?
That helps, thank you hun. I just have to remember I did right by him. I confuse the "feeling bad" with the idea that maybe I didn't do something right when it's just missing him. You guys are great@Scovy mama - You feel bad because you miss him. You connected with him and now there is a hole. You did right by him, but you are deprived of his company.![]()
