Show off your house ducks!

Then why do I feel so bad?:hit

@Scovy mama - You feel bad because you miss him. You connected with him and now there is a hole. You did right by him, but you are deprived of his company. :hugs

No doubt about it, you did the right thing... you chose what was best for Dandy and everyone else...

Of course it hurts, you love and miss him... it'll never go away, but it will get better... you gave him a great and loving home, he needed more and you gave him that too... :hugs :love

hope its a girlie so u can keep her :)
I should be good if it's a roo unless they get crazy aggressive like Dandy was getting. I am hatching some more out so maybe if it is, I can have friends to calm it down.

Scovy mama its okay, I know you miss your dandy :( if u want i can send u a baby next year, I'm pretty good at picking girls out from boys. I'm not allowed to have anymore babies so if they have any i have to give them away anyway, and i would like for them to go to good people

have you thought of a name for your chick yet?

He was getting more aggressive with nipping & stalking the others in the house. He would put his head down & walk up on the cat & grab her tail or go for the face. He nipped the dogs' face repeatedly the last couple of weeks & it's not right that they fear this one when they were all comfortable with Daisy for years. I always watch them when they are in close proximity but it was getting to the point where I had to separate them all from Dandy for their safety. Although I know all muscovy aren't the same personality, he was good with them, kind of like Daisy, until about a month ago, then he would go for everyone's face. My roommate was nipped then bit anytime he tried to keep Dandy away from any other pet. I was the only safe one that never saw the bad end of Dandy until he clawed me up & bit at my eye when I took him away from trying to mount the cat. He was loving afterward but he'd just get wound up so much, it was like it wasn't my duck anymore for a bit until he'd calm down. I asked if I could go visit the rental ranch & they haven't gotten back to me about that yet. I'm kinda raw right now on getting another one but I have been kickig around the idea of maybe hatching out a couple & raising them then as soon as I can tell a female keep her & finding good homes for the rest. I do wish there was a need for hand tamed ducks then I could raise them for that like how I foster the dogs & cats.:D that might be fun! That helps, thank you hun. I just have to remember I did right by him. I confuse the "feeling bad" with the idea that maybe I didn't do something right when it's just missing him. You guys are great:) Ya'll are so sweet, thanks:hugs back Thanks sweets, I hope I did right. She's very well & very silly! Hope to be able to tell if it's a she or he soon.:) Too bad this whole time I've been serious :rant ...:gig Riiiiiight...
That tiny birb has the cutest face. O my word, you get to hold the lil morsel. I hope those folks who have Dandy respond to you soon and let you visit him. And I hope they keep you updated as well in general.

I found a few great patterns online then I just altered them as needed for my girl. I love making my own, you can find the perfect combination that way.
