Your 2026 Garden

+1, or if you remember what you planted and just not which is which, post pics and see if anyone here recognizes them.
Unfortunately not, I tossed the seed packets after planting so I dont remember haha just that theyre perennials haha

I got my pepper seeds started and the first round of tomatoes too:

For later reference:
  • Yellow toothpicks are Cayenne
  • Blue are Fish
  • Red are Ghost
  • The ones without toothpicks are Silvery Fir Tree Tomatoes
They’re on a heat mat set at 80 degrees currently. The plan is to move the tomatoes into the pots the beans are in now after the latter have finished, then start the next variety (San Marzano, although the Inciardi are calling my name!) in early April.

Tomatoes are up and getting true leaves.
1) small purple cherry from saved seed
2) medium yellow salad from saved seed
3) large red sandwich slicer from a generous BYCer.

I was inspecting the grow trays when the son happened by and asked, "no romas"? 😖 Doh! I completely forgot about them (probably because I didn't already have seeds). Now I've gotta decide San Marzano, Amish Paste, or try something new. 🤔
Decisions. Decisions.

Why not all three? 😉

Like an apartment in NYC, floorspace in my raised beds is scarce.
Too true! I'm doing away with anything that has not done well the last 2 years & just focusing on the veggies, etc. that have done well. I don't have the time, money, space, or energy to waste on waste.

Fixing up all my pots for planting this spring. Dumping the used potting soil in the wheelbarrow, add a scoop of compost, A scoop of new potting mix, and a scoop of vermiculite, mix it all up and put it back in the pot. Some of my pots are large totes, 5 gallon buckets, cat litter buckets, whatever I can find to plant in. Never have enough room in the garden for all I want to grow, so back patio and front deck with pots gives me lots more to grow. Saves me a lot of money on potting soil by just refreshing it, and everything grows well. Hope I didn't jinx myself by saying that, lol.

Id have to remember what they all are though 😂😂 did not label any of the Perrenial flowers 😬
Am I having de ja vu as did we not have this conversation before about how to prevent this from happening? 😁🤔

In my defense all these different seeds we've been chatting about were planted all on the same day so I technically only made the mistake once I just suffer the consequences multiple times 😂😂
