Show off your house ducks!

@AmykinsOh I am so sorry you have to miss your babies! I would have taken them if you lived around here, hopefully you get your life sorted out soon... :hugs

@tracyjg What a sweeties! Are the older ones nice to the little ducklings? My 6 older ones didn't accept little Jr. at first and even attacked her. So be careful. How is your other couple doing? You had one blind duck and a drake, right?

Hi guys, sorry for not updating you. I've only now just been able to unpack my laptop and get online.

According to the woman who runs the sanctuary, Wobbles and Bean are doing fine and "don't even quack" when they go back inside. They don't pick Wobbles up or anything but they will go out there to supervise them.

Many friends back in WA offered to babysit after the fact, but it's too late, I have no way to get up there. The thing that upsets me most is that if I'd known what would happen to Mary and myself I could have found them a great place in WA. But I put my faith into this thinking it'd all be okay, only to have it all come crashing down less than 24 hours before they were supposed to go to her home in Sacramento. Now they're in a place far away from me, alone and left to turn feral, and I fear that by time I'm able to get them back they probably won't remember me or even want to be held at all.

They will probably be a little more distant as a whole (from going from house ducks to community ducks), but I am sure they will remember you. All our ducks respond slightly different to Yvonne and I. I went to a class that was over a month long out of state and when I came back they were a little more excited than normal when I first went out to see them, but then it fell back into exactly the same relationship. So while I do believe they may change some from being in a less intimate environment overall, I also believe they know people as individuals and have long memories so will remember you are one of the good ones that they love.

Just able to pop in quickly at work today. I'll be gone again by the end of the week if I can't get coverage. I am sorry this didn't work out for everyone.

When I was sleeping at the train station last night, my brother sent me this clip of Jimmy Kimmel. My Dandelion River was on the show last night driving the little yellow Audi! Jimmy calls him Donald, made me cry a little because it also made me miss my Daisy...
My big boy, I miss him dearly.

I got word from the animal rentals where he's at & they said he was such a smart boy that he got to go flash his big butt in the Baby Animal Parade on the show!
He's growing up so fast, I didn't even know he had gotten his driver's permit...

The few week old ones just meet the baby's in the picture above. There only together when there's two of us home. Today was crazy so no social play time.
