Show off your house ducks!

Wobbles is a neverending source of facepalm moments and amazing barstool stories. :p I'll never forget the look on her face, she had just gotten done cooing at the lil' guy, and not ten seconds later you just heard "fwip" as it hit her cheek. Her eyes bugged out, she wiped it off, looked at it, SNIFFED IT, and made this "Uwaaaah!" sound before dashing off.

Our new motto is "not when you have a duck." "Wanna come out tonight with us?" Not when you have a duck. "Do you still host parties?" Not when you have a duck. "Can you just NOT be socially awkward just this once?" Not when you have a duck!
ohmyGOSH I would die! Poor little wobbles!
I used to work at Joanns so they let me bring in ChaCha because they know me. It's mostly new staff now but they are used to it already so no one makes a stink.

Ok house duck momma's I need some advice. My male Muscovy Pickles is chewing and breaking off the feathers that cover the wing area on my female Muscovy Sassy and the broken feather is bleeding at the quill. I guess that would be the correct area. It looks like a thin blue straw sticking out of her skin. They are getting their metal dog kennel tomorrow and the diapers should be here anytime. Is he bored maybe?? I have tile so I would let them run around without the diaper but my cats have developed a taste for duck poo. Any help wouldbe greatly aappreciated.

My beautiful scovy Regina

This was just after we got her and our first experience with 'house ducks'. We leave the door open for our cats and she just wandered in and made herself comfortable. She will walk in any door, get into cars, and in winter stops washing because of the cold and needs to be brought in for a warm bath and a rub down. I thought I spoiled my ducks! I cant imagine how she lived before she came here.

Oooh, that sounds bad...I'm so sorry for your poor Sassy! Broken flight feathers are not only EXTREMELY painful for a duck, but they're dangerous, as well. A duck can easily bleed out of the flow can't be stopped.

Unfortunately, without seeing your ducks I can't say for sure. Maybe it's boredom, maybe there's some underlying medical concern, maybe he's just a big ol' jerk. But if it's happening frequently I highly recommend getting Sassy to a vet to make sure she isn't losing too much blood or isn't in a lot of pain from the attacks.

Yes @Amykins is right if a blood feather gets hurt I have heard they can bleed to death :(

So far just one: Michael's. We used to have a sort of truce with the management to bring him in, but one day while shopping he got out of his diaper (still have no clue how), pooped, ate it, shook his head to free the taste of horribleness from his mouth, and splattered another customer. She got the manager. We were asked to leave.

Now my hubby will stand outside with him like a crazy person while I go and get my fabric and craft supplies.
I am dying laughing over this. oMG. So funny. Cannot even imagine. Who needs a TV with these great stories?
