Maybe you can work out some sort of deal with the local TSC to give the ducklings to them? That will be soooo cute with the little ducklings at the vet! Why do you have to keep wobbles seperate? I once had a silkie rooster raise a brood of his own chicks? Maybe you and wobbles can both be parents? Maybe wobbles will think that after all this mating with you, you have finally layed eggs and hatched them out? lol.
Well, even though I'm his "mate" and I'll be raising ducklings soon, that doesn't necessarily mean Wobs will put 2 and 2 together and think that they're his. Drakes don't usually help raise ducklings anyhow, so I'm not too hopeful. It's best if I try to keep him away from the brooder, for the babies' sakes. Although it would be amazing if he treated these ducklings as his own! How cool would that be?

I think she's just a little more independent than most house ducks though. Although she is pretty quiet, surprisingly. She only ever quacks if she doesn't know where I am. She is a very sassy little duck that doesn't take crap form no one! Chases the cat around, nips the dogs toes, hisses at my rats through their cage, my snake is about the only thing she won't mess with! She even swam up to a wild mallard and started fighting with her, she is no longer allowed to swim without a leash!
