Show off your house ducks!

I was education committee chairman of our county animal welfare group for lots of years. We took our pets to nursing homes, schools, churches, block parties & 1 birthday party. I had a single mixed bantam hen named Blue Feet who loved to be held upside down like a baby & jumped for treats. Most people have not seen live poultry - only as food on their plate. They are amazed to find out they have personalities & can do tricks. I got some really strange looks when I showed the $103 vet bill from when she tore her skin sneaking under the fence. Most expensive chicken dinner I NEVER ate. Lol

Aww, what a heartwarming story! That sounds like my dream job, as well. Wish there was something like that in my town. We have advocacy groups, but they're all grassroots, nothing city-sponsored.

Also I had to share, Bean's running laps around the bedroom right now and it is ADORABLE. She gets all hyper out of nowhere and will run as fast as she can between the two bedrooms, back and forth, back and forth, her little feet going "PADDA PADDA PADDA" on the carpet going a million miles an hour! I have no idea why she does it, it's just friggin' great. xD

I'd love to see a video

All non-profit & volunteers. No job. No money but donations from the public & fundraisers (I was chair of fundraising too). We started out small & have few active people but it needed to be done & nobody else is doing it. I've been in it since I was 14 (58 now). Had a lot of rescue adventures. :)

Oh, poor little Tinkerbelle. She is absolutely adorable and innocent. I am happy you have the precious being safe and sound. Will you keep her separated from the drake forever like in a fenced a partition situation? Stupid hormones in males. I think nature overdid it.

At the moment, we are unsure what we are going to do. When my husband let them out of their coop today, he went right after her and started ripping feathers off of her neck. We absolutely adore him, hes our pet but if it comes down to it... he may end up going to a friends farm with a lonely female pekin.
