Show off your house ducks!

guys, I'm worried about Wobbles - he hasn't eaten since he got home and he's really lethargic. I called the vet, she said to keep an eye out and come on in if I'm worried. Frankly I am, nut I just don't have enough for another emergency bet visit! I'm so not sleeping tonight. I'm gettin' coffee and watching him like a hawk.

Sadly no...Wobs still won't eat and he's still acting lethargic. I think he's just in a lot of pain. The stuff they sent me home with was essentially ducky Motrin, and it shouldn't be having a bad reaction, I think it's just not enough to allow him to eat and drink. I've given him some water via syringe, which just stressed the poor guy out even more, but I had no choice - he needs fluids! I don't have the means nor the money to tube feed or IV him, though. The vet trip yesterday totally cleaned out my account and since I've had nothing but trouble finding work I just don't know what to do.

Vet opens in an hour, if anything I can get advice from Dr. Strunk. He won't even eat peas or watermelon, the poor thing...

Can you borrow money to get him an iv. The longer he goes no fluids he will die. Time isn't on your side at moment if you want him to live. These has happened to me with chickens and a pot belly pig. I have had a lot of deaths because I haven't gotten to vet in time waiting for my partner to get paid.

These is why we all need to work. It pays the vet bills the feed water shelter repairs needed to raise our pets.

Yeah, I know. Too bad for some of us it's being difficult. Because, you know, I CHOSE to be unemployed. House, gone. Husband, gone. Jobless, penniless, injured duck. Sigh...

Do you have something to take to your local pawn shop to borrow ring tools ect. That might be enough to get him the ivs he needs. I am speaking from experience with situations.what has happened to us.
