Show off your house ducks!

My babies have grown so big in just a week. I think they are almost ready for the bath tub. When they want out of the cage they will get loud and run to the door when I come. What bothers me is once they ate it of the cage if I try to pick them up they run from me. Maybe I should have only gotten one so it would have attached to me instead of each other :(

It's ok, lots of ducklings try to "test" us duck mamas at this stage! They also instinctually run from things looming over them, so maybe try kneeling down to pick them up, instead of bending over so you're hovering over them like a predator would Oh, also, peas. When all else fails, peas peas peas!

Frozen peas or can? I've been avoiding snacks while they were little because I'm scared to harm them.

If you give them canned peas, make sure that it either has no added salt or make sure to throughly rinse the salt off. And snacks shouldn't consist of any more than 10% of their diet.

I buy no salt add peas and green beans and cook it let it cool and cut it up in little piece the green beans. If I try to stick it in food processor it turns very liquid mush.

Frozen peas, thawed are best. Also make sure they have chick grit available if giving them anything other than their crumble.

I go a step further, I take the skins off! A little duckling loves nothing more than eatin' up split halves of a skinless pea!

Love the cute little fuzzes going after thawed peas.

Ug @Tevyes Dad @MamaDux @RavynFallen @Miss Lydia @Kroelies @DiamondSwan @BantyChooks @sumi @Amykins @ViolinPlayer123 @Lozuufy - I have been very busy between work and doing things after work and mornings lately have not given me a lot of time to be on here. I am still here. All is well and hopefully I can catch up soon this weekend. I still love 'lings and adult WEBBED and round bodied chunk birds and pencil Runners.
