Show off your house ducks!

Hi everyone..I have no idea how to work this website on my phone and find what I'm looking for, I'm hoping I found it here. I've been raising ducks my whole life but never inside..we live where ducks can't be left outside due to neibors living close. I recently did some reasearch on house ducks..We bought two day old babies. Avocado who is a pure mallard and Bernie who is a pure white and buff Indian runner. Tomorrow is a week sense we got them and they love it here and seem a lot happier then where I got them from. We only wanted to start with one but the buyer said we had to get two, is it easier to raise one duckling inside or would both be fine? I know all the care for ducks just need some advice about raising them inside. Thank you!!

My new babies! Avacodo the mallard and Bernie the Indian runner:) I'm new to house ducks, had ducks my whole life but never in the house. Any advice is welcome:) trying to work on diapers small enough for them lol.

Avocado and Bernie are adorable!! If you can keep both inside, I would suggest doing that instead of just one... ducks are extremely social and a lone duck is doable, but requires more time and can get lonely while you are gone during the day... I also recommend getting one of those deep, hard rubber boot trays to put their food and water on to help contain mess... :)

We got our house duck! I'm very excited!! Fawn and white runner hen. They are a sweetie so far. Very calm and nibbly.

I've had an impossible time trying to pick a name. Hopefully one will come to me.

Awe, thank you Scovy Momma. you're such a sweetie. I wish I could have one. On my walk home from work today I went by the river park specifically to see the ducks and geese and i was treated to a few precious mallard pairs floating in the water and using their webs to paddle about. then further down I saw some Canadians and their baby fuzzies in the water and those babies can paddle fast. I had a smile on my face the whole time.

Hi there! Congrats on your BYC Friend badge!!

Yeah, I bet Julie will someday have ducks of her own to love, cuddle, swoon over, etc.
Yes, Debs. I will. I will do all those things. I see all your and everyone's duck pics and I so badly want to hold, cuddle and kiss them. They are such precious things. Thank you.
