Malone the Mallard was found this week playing in high traffic by one of our groomers. No family to be found so he will most likely grow up thinking it’s a chicken now.

I did the quacking test and picked them up one by one and my girls quacked and the boys either made a low noise or didn’t make any noiseHi, here are a couple pics of my 8 week old mallards & i'm having trouble figuring out the sex, I think I have 2 males & 2 females. Can somebody give me their opinion. Thanks View attachment 1391301 View attachment 1391303
I’m trying to find the drakes homes and just keep 1 mallard drake and both runner drakes(they’ve paired up with their girls)That’s way too many drakes to females. The best ratio is at least 3 females to 1 drake.if domestic Malards are like their wild counter parts they won’t mate till next spring if hatched this year pretty sure
