Hi Everyone! I just found these guys on craigslist and I'm wondering as to if they are OE or something else. Also if they are, what sort of quality are they? Ive never had game birds before so any comment would be great!
These are my first OEGB and they are so sweet! Got them last weekend, old enough to lay but are still getting used to their new home. I don't have names for them yet, we are still getting to know each other
I have a question regarding a Japanese bantam/OEGB cross. Ridge comb, very light, a yellowish cream with dark wing tips and tail. Do any of you guys have information about this color, or perhaps if it is more of a JB color or OEGB color? I know since he's a cross it could be almost anything...but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask - thanks!
I am trying to decide what colors of Old English Bantams I want and I am having a hard time finding real life pics of them. Not the pics from a hatchery. Can someone tell me where to go to see all of the colors for them.
I am so glad I found this thread! I have one wheaten OEGB hen, Lucy, and she is my favorite of my small flock (I have two barred rocks, besides her). Recently, I was holding her and her bottom was very warm so I think she is going to try to go broody. I would love to have her hatch some babies, but I don't have a roo! Could I try to order some hatching eggs online and convince her to sit on them? Could I like, let her sit on some golf balls until the real eggs arrive and switch them? Maybe I should just buy a Silkie roo LOL
I really like Silkies, they are my other fave breed besides OEGB's. Does anyone have a Silkie/OEGB cross???
Anyway, Lucy is a quiet bird, very pretty, I LOVE her nice long hen tail!!!! and she is a good layer. She lays about five small, light brown eggs a week in the summer. She is flighty, but I clipped her wings so she is easier to catch. I give her a hug every day if she would let me
