I just attempted to use the chicken calculator to find out, and it said you'll get blue chicks from that crossing. I'm not positive on that though, as I really don't know how that website works.Hey all, last summer I ordered some chicks for my Grandpa and he chose OEGB. I'll try to get some pics of them so you can tell me the colors, but two of them I'm for sure of their colors. One rooster is Splash, and he's with a White hen. My grandpa offered me some hatching eggs and I was wondering what colors would come from a Splash over a White?
I dont really trust any color genetic calculator unless its a downloaded software. I dont know if blue would come cause dont you need blue or black to make more blue?... I dont really know...I just attempted to use the chicken calculator to find out, and it said you'll get blue chicks from that crossing. 2 eggs a day? Sounds like you've got more than one layer, because chickens can only lay 1 egg per day. Not even a Leghorn can lay more than 1.Well she is. She lay 2 eggs a day. A brown leghorn lays 3 eggs a day.
Quote: I know splash is the result of a blue to blue crossing, so it could be possible. I'm not very knowledgeable in chicken genetics, but I have had the chicken calculator be correct.
