I'm as sure as I can be without seeing the actual bird. Looks like a blue with dark hackle and saddle. Blacks should always have that green "beetle" sheen as well. I've produced some very dark blues, much darker than that. You can tell them apart by that lack of green.

If your splash came from that line, you should produce some really nice blues. I'd still breed to him, you'll get 50% blue/50% splash.

Yeah they came from the same place, and yeah he's definitely going to be breed to my blue girls. And thanks I didn't know about the blacks a lot

How big is he. Standard size for a cock is 22-24 oz, though most are not close to that.

Got some birds out today. Sunshine has been in short supply around here.

Black rooster, protective but not aggressive. He hates the plastic scoop I feed from with a vengeance.

White, most docile mature roo that I own.
