Show off your Old English Game Bantams!!

Hey, if you can will you take pics of the hatch in your Incuview?

I actually built a separate unit to hatch in. There are some pictures of it up the thread a little ways. Used a styrofoam ice chest, and Incukit, a Reptifogger (Zoo Med) and a Plug and Play Hygrostat. It seems to be functioning perfectly, which means if my chicks don't hatch, it's my fault. Lol.

That's quiet ingenious! So, you're pleased with the Incuview ?

I think so. You can really tweak it to get tight control of the humidity. Ever time I check egg temps they are well within range. I'd love to take credit for the design, but I find a lot of really cool stuff on youtube. The idea from my hatcher came from there.

I'm really thinking about getting one. Any cons?

I don't think it turns large eggs exceptionally well, but I don't hatch a ton of large fowl. I turned my eggs twice a day by hand. The motion is very natural, but by it's design can't fully turn a large egg. It only has one small hole in the lid. I wish it had an adjustable vent or 2. Other than that, it's pretty darn solid. Hard to recommend an incubator you haven't yet hatched a chick out of, but it's a big improvement over what I was doing last year.

Day 19 started about 3 hours ago for me, and that's usually when I see the first pips. Another feature of the Incuview is a hatch timer.
