This is more what I'm looking for in my Lemon Blacks, but they'll hatch even darker than this one. No pink/pale patches on the bottoms of their feet.

The dark soles are just indicative of more skin melanization, or also a better feather color as well?

Helps with producing nice mulberry colored earlobes. But for me, it's more of an SOP thing. Birds with pink or yellow soles will throw pink toes, and that's a DQ in Brown Reds.

My goal is to start a line of Brown Reds from these birds, and maybe some good Lemon Blues.

I think it does affect feather color. These birds have an insane green sheen to their black.

My old English game bantam baby Pip Squeak! She's five months old and her dad is a black breasted red old English game bantam and the mom is a ginger red old English game bantam! What does she look like? Breed? She's got penciled pattern all over her back.

Anyone want to help identify ? I was told possibly a gold duckwing oegb roo... but the coloring is more black and white. I admittedly know zero about the breed. 4 weeks old!
